New TMF-Funded Projects Announced

New TMF-Funded Projects Announced

Earlier this year, we invited concept proposals that aligned with our Fynbos Forever Programme objectives. Projects needed to be based in the Cape Floristic Region, contribute to the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, and address critical conservation priorities. We especially encouraged organisations with a strong track record in biodiversity stewardship and protected area expansion to apply.

The response was incredible. After a careful consultation and review process, we’re proud to announce the seven projects selected as the newest recipients of TMF funding.

1. CapeNature in partnership with Conservation Outcomes

Project: CapeNature Protected Area legal declaration assistance project

2. Wilderness Foundation Africa in partnership with the City of Cape Town

Project: City of Cape Town BioNet – aiming towards 30 x 30

3. Bionerds

Project: Fynbos Forever, Forever Wild: Supporting fynbos corridors through strategic proclamations in the Langeberg

4. Conservation Outcomes in partnership with CapeNature

Project: Bridging conservation efforts – Eastern Cape Shores to Western Cape Foothills, incorporating the development and assessment of a pilot biodiversity credits system and framework

5. Eden to Addo Corridor Initiative

Project: Linking Fynbos Landscapes

6. Gouritz Cluster Biosphere Reserve

Project: Catalysing biodiversity stewardship in the Gouritz Cluster Biosphere Reserve

7. Conservation at Work in partnership with CapeNature
